This year we are introducing a new innovative program structure that will greatly enhance the student’s musical experience. Two optional courses of study are offered: a rigorous three-week program with the focus on private lessons and chamber music sessions, and our traditional two-week intensive music program.
The program of the 2015 Academy is carefully designed for aspiring musicians of all ages, including young professionals, college, pre-college, and younger students. Courses of study encompass private lessons, instrumental and vocal master classes, chamber music coaching, ensemble and orchestral sessions. Public concerts are the highlights of the Academy. Students' solo, chamber music and orchestral performances, and the Distinguished Faculty Concert Series are taking place in various historic venues in and out of Cremona. Performances at the famous Cremonese violin makers’ workshops are another unique feature of the Academy. All activities are conducted at the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali "Claudio Monteverdi" di Cremona and at the Cremona Chamber of Commerce.

The Fifth International Competition for Strings and Piano is scheduled for July 25- July 26, 2015. A sightseeing tour of the Lombardi Region with its beautiful historical towns is planned for August 2.

The Academy is extremely happy to welcome, once again, the JVL Summer School for Performing Arts (SSPA) from Canada, its brilliant faculty and students, who for the third year will join the Academy!
